So let me get this straight - under this #ToryCorruption enabling gov, if you're on #UniversalCredit and through no fault of your own were overpaid, you have to pay up to £5000 back, BUT if you're a #ToryPeer like #MichelleMone or other VIP donor, you can write-off a few BILLION with not a single penny recouped...

Just back from an impromptu visit to our daughter (well, arranged this lunchtime).
An hour each way on the motorway mostly. If all driving were as relaxed as that it'd be tolerable - helped by Alex Kentuky's #InterlineLounge podcast.

Daughter is doing really well. She's got a shed load of stuff going on which would test the best of us. Not helped by her temporary CPN who seems worse than useless!

Ho scoperto che in UK l'#UniversalCredit (l'analogo del #redditodicittadinanza) viene aggiornato e ricalcolato su base mensile, in base alle entrate familiari.
Da noi, l'#INPS è sistematicamente in ritardo di almeno due anni sugli aggiornamenti.

"WHY DON'T YOU WANT TO WIN" the online #Starmerite people will say, in answer to multiple charities, academic studies, politicians, official reports, countless members of the public and God knows what else telling them that: a) the #2ChildLimit for #UniversalCredit is a direct driver of child poverty, and b) abolishing it for #UC would be relatively cheap, and would bring dividends.

They've become everything they denounce in the Corbyn people. A cult, arguing furiously against reality when it intrudes on their internal world.

What is the earthly point of voting for Keir #Starmer and #Labour? The most obvious, relatively cheap, measure to tackle child poverty in the UK and they won't even do that. Abolishing the #2ChildLimit for #UniversalCredit should be a total given for them. But they won't. How utterly pathetic.

to not need the living expenses bit. You won't solve the staffing issues by trying to force UC claimants in to work even more than those fit for work & not unpaid carers already are. And you are not going to solve staffing crises if a lot of staff are quiting, as is happening in the NHS, for example.
