The $5 is a subscription fee on top of the Amazon Prime account, as best as I can tell. No cost for delivery. Prices seem to be in the middle (far better than CVS), but Wally and Cost+ are far cheaper from what I’ve found.
Of course if you have insurance it doesn’t apply to Cost+, so you may be paying more. It depends, like so many things, on your coverage.
The price confusion is a feature of health insurance, not a bug. It should be free at point of sale, it’s the only way to get rid of having to run your information through a ton of accounts on different services, just to find out your insurance may or may not cover what you need.
