University Blvd Corridor Plan discussion will be on Wednesday, June 21 at Wheaton Forest Local Park from 5 to 8 pm. Hopefully, this plan will improve access to non-motorized traffic. If they include a MUP, it would improve bike/pedestrian access to Wheaton Regional Park, Wheaton Metro Station, Sligo Creek Trail, Woodmoor Shopping, Northwood HS, and Blair HS. It would make this portion of Montgomery County much more accessible.

It is kicking off with community meetings on March 8th and 14th. This includes the option for a MUP sidewalk or bike lanes. This could be a huge boost to non-car transit (pedestrian, bike, wheelchair, etc.) with minimal impact to car traffic.
