On the other, as a parent, the logistical nightmare that it is to move them and their belongings to there in time for the first day of the trimester…

I’m delighted to announce that I will shortly be starting as a Teaching Fellow in #Philosophy, and from June 2024 as Lecturer/Assistant Professor, at #UniversityCollegeDublin. 🇮🇪

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me over the years, without whom this wouldn’t have been possible. In particular, heartfelt thanks to all of my mentors, supervisors, colleagues, friends and family for their help and encouragement—in particular my referees (you know who you are!), some of whom have been writing for me for over 10 years now… 🙏

It’s been a long road with many ups and downs, but both personally and professionally I couldn’t have hoped for a better home. I am looking forward to the new challenges and adventure that this brings, as well as getting to know and working with my many excellent colleagues at the #UCD School of #Philosophy. 😊 ☘️

I am currently a #PostdoctoralFellow at #UniversityCollegeDublin where I am researching a project entitled “Making Fun of the Fascists: Humor Against the Leader Cult in Italy, France, and Germany, 1922–1945.” This is a study of how #humor was used as an instrument of political resistance against dictators in Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, and Vichy France.
