Moving from 2D to the challenge of 3D digital capture, two gorgeous images from -funded Tracing the Past project led by . The project uses laser scanning and other modern techniques to understand the materials and techniques used in the design and construction of major religious buildings.

The first image is of the roof of St Stephen's Chapel, Westminster, the second of Tewkesbury Abbey, both copyright Nicholas Webb.
