So, I had to update an application and roll it out to some non-production servers the other day. I had it all set to go....and I screwed up. I generated a checksum from my development workstation instead of the repo server the file was hosted on.
So, of course, the update wouldn't go through on my workstation since the checksums didn't match. I also prematurely froze the update so I was forced to update to another version to fix the mistake on the one I just made.🤦♂️ #sysadmin #sysadminlife #linux #unixadmin #automation

Only slowdown was thinking I was going to need a config file merge on some systems. After looking into it further, it wasn't necessary. Plus some of the servers didn't want to reboot and/or run aide-update using the script we have so I had to manually reboot them and run an aide-update.
Only other problem is E-mail isn't working so I couldn't send out the all-clear. :blobcattriumph:
