OK, I just saw the #FateStrangeFake preview and I gotta say Gil is really leaning ***hard*** into his Golden Prick persona.

Alright, some background, my first encounters with Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes, in a Fate/WHATEVER context was #FateZero followed by #FateStayNight (the UFOTABLE #UnlimitedBladeWorks version).

And in those iterations Gil is basically trying to wipe out 99% of the world’s population so that the remaining 1% will be suitably grateful to be allowed to live as his slaves.

I, uh, reacted badly to this and dubbed him the Golden Prick (look at the Fate/Strange Fake trailer below and you’ll see why).

The thing is, yes I now know that Gil is rather more complicated, and I ***adore*** Caster Gil from #FGO - he’s still arrogant as fuck, but also a responsible king looking out for his people.

But the Golden Prick version when he appears? I hope he gets beaten down. Badly.
