the last two episodes of the #unlockingUs podcast were super interesting.

the tldr version of the podcast is that if a person can't do better that means you have to set boundaries for yourself in order to be able to be truly compassionate.
i always thought it was the other way around. i thought being compassionate means ignoring your boundaries because you know the other person can't do better. but of course in reality you are building up resentment and frustration until you can't anymore.
