#precariat are the people you describe. There are also the #unnecessariat, like me, considered a drain on society by the same capitalist machine. The latter are the aged, pensioners, sick, disabled, un and under educated, considered to be of no use anymore.
The so termed "1%" who control most of the world's assets and resources treat the rest of us, as Guy Standing labels us, the #precariat (living pay to pay, insecure jobs, feel threatened, living a precarious existence) and the #unnecessariat (the sick, disabled, aged, under educated, the homeless, a drain on society, not worth anything).
@aby I like Guy Standing's definitions of the #precariat (living pay cheque to pay cheque, not sure of long term income) and the #unnecessariat (the sick, disabled, poorly educated, aged, people people considered a burden to the wealthy).
