In no way surprised but still irked that the order of priority for the release of UK #census data has #health, #disability and #unpaidcare at the bottom of a long list, due in Jan 2023
ONS state:
"As our timetable is planned around user need, it is and will remain flexible".
Can't help feeling that this is a metaphor for how low a priority this is for policy makers
The census maps are super cool though https://www.ons.gov.uk/census/maps

#CarersRightsDay2022 We need meaningful actions & support from the Government not only glossy words. The opportunity cost-what we can’t do because of time spent providing #UnpaidCare is huge not to mention the impact on our health & wellbeing. See 🧵 on our non-existent rights!

@bbcnews doing a wonderful job today showing the human stories of people who are providing millions of hours of #unpaidcare to disabled family and friends. These are my people, my tribe. We are amazingly strong and inventive, robust and sensitive, and could do well in any job with our experience. We are NOT to be reduced to being labelled '#EconomicallyInactive', because that is a lie - we save the system billions and allow others to have their careers - and insulting!
