I cringe when people say they “beat” a video game.

In my mind, you *beat* bosses and enemies, but you *finish* games. 🙂

(I make exceptions for some incredibly hard games like Super Meat Boy where the developers designed the entire game to be a huge challenge, so beating Super Meat Boy seems appropriate to me.)

#unpopulargamingopinions final fantasy xiv has really bland and uninteresting races. Sonic Forces was a fun game, the avatar stages are something I would love to see more. Video games should rarely if ever be over twenty hours, any longer and you are padding the run time.

1. i think batman arkham knight is not only the best in the series, but one of the greatest games ever made

2. smash brothers melee is my least favorite in that series

3. littlebigplanet 2 is my favorite 2d platformer

4. crash team racing is the greatest kart racer of all time

5. kingdom hearts 3 was fantastic

6. i really loved the toys to life genre

7. i genuinely think toy story 2 can stand up against the likes of mario 64 and crash bandicoot

Donkey Kong 64 is delightful

Mario Kart needs a single player mode with a story, open world, collectibles, and boss battles. It would be amazing.

Nintendo should make Super Smash Kart

Sierra adventure games are better than Lucasarts adventure games

I love remakes/remasters. They dont take resources away from new games, create jobs, & fill holes in release schedules created by triple A development.

Hub worlds > open worlds. Open worlds are often a marketing tactic that ends in games with too much copy & paste.

-Matchmaking is a fundamentally bad system and actively makes MP games worse vs the server system by forcing everyone into the same pool

-Doom 2 maps suck after the mid point, it was bad then, it's worse now

-Silent Hill 3 > 2

-UT > Q3. Quake 3 is slightly overrated compared to it's contemporaries.

-The yellow filter in DE:HR was good and thematically important.

#Tetris? It's overrated. Yeah, I said it. How many times can you reinvent the wheel?

#Sonic has never played well. Once you get the initial 'wow' out of Green Hill Zone the game reveals itself to be a kinda frustrating game that just doesn't feel good.

#Uncharted as a video game is meh. Great story and characters; tedious gameplay.

I'm sure I've got some more, but right now that's all I've got.
