#UnpopularOpinion I don't like instances that allow far more than 500 characters per toot. #ActivityPub is not a blog platform. I tend to just scroll over posts that are too long. I didn't come here to read long texts. I think that toots should be short messages. With links if need to more persistent and retrievable content. Toots are meant to be more like short-lived status updates. Which is why I auto delete toots after a few days, unless they get traction.

Every now and then media is asking „are PCs dying?“ Then they pull out some numbers and conclude that’s it’s not, because Apple is still selling iMacs and others are selling desktops too. But that’s wrong. PC sales are indeed dying, because neither macOS nor Windows is a PC OS in the pure sense. Apple and Microsoft just allow you to use those OS. Also we rely more and more on some cloud services and central app stores. That’s more like time sharing with fat clients.

Hand cannons are too powerful now. I'm one-shotting stuff at scout rifle range. They do too much damage to majors (Special weapons exist for a reason). As a hand cannon fan, I think they actually need a nerf.

Je comprends qu’on trouve décevant qu’un cinéaste vieillissant tente de séduire de jeunes actrices, maladroitement, lourdement même. Sont-ce des agressions sexuelles ?
