In reading my myriad #unread emails, I realized how many annoying emails #LinkedIn has sent me over the years.
I got one this morning.

I went to LinkedIn to change mailing preferences.
LinkedIn said "Your log-in attempt appears #suspicious, please provide the #verification number we just emailed you."

Damn it, LinkedIn, I want fewer emails and you're sending another. The suspicious activity of my log-in attempt to LinkedIn is that I would log into LinkedIn at all.

Now that I have pretty much decided on #ivory for mastodon, now it’s onto RSS apps

I pretty much switch between #unread and #reeder

Unread looks great but once I get a larger backlog, reeder seems to do a better job with managing feeds

Support for reeder has always been a bit lacking though.

Coming back from #vacation – aka turning #unread messages into #todo items. Whew!

It's the smallest thing, but for some reason Apple seems to want Unread to verify that I want to add a link to Safari's reading list every time I save one. I don't have to do that with other share actions. Not sure how this serves my interests.

Also hilarious to me that making me move my thumb <0.5" feels like a forced march across the frozen tundra after two or three repetitions.

Oh, so close… #Mail #Unread

Surprised IO does not have an #unread method. I'm trying to implement a method like IO#expect but that reads until a regex is matched, then pushes the remainder of the read data back into the IO read buffer.

Aside from the need to really clean out my inbox, I keep landing on this number. 😬

I'll bump up to 680 then delete a bunch and I look over and I'm back at 666. Delete more to get below, look over an hour later, and 666!

Next step, select all, delete!
