How did you find it?

I keep _almost_ making the leap, but stop. Not quite sure why, I've been a dev since 1997 and have done all manner of things.. #Unity #Unreal #Gamedev

The fact that you can't iterate over TMaps in Blueprints is really annoying. You can work around the limitation, but it involves an extra loop for each item. It greatly limits their usage to mostly code and makes you turn to custom small USTRUCT more often than not when you know it will need to be iterated over BPs.

Unreal 5.3 just released. But as usual with my project I will have either to wait for all the plugins to be updated, or update them myself. For 5.2 we had to wait almost 2 month for FMOD to release an update.

The bigger the project, the more annoying it gets to upgrade Unreal.
But I prefer to keep my project up to date rather than stuck with older version.

Do you keep your projects updated or do you prefer to stay on a stable version?

Ok, I have a little follow-up after some discussion in #unreal slackers discord channel.

First thing I forgot is that there are other modes of NetDormancy, not only DormantAll, and they can't be "opposed" to pushbased model since they cover their own fields of network optimisation.

#UnrealEngine people, can someone please help me understand the difference between PushBased replication model and NetDormancy?

For me it seems like both of them provide a way to specify WHEN I want replication to happen. PushBased also allows you to specify what exact properties you want to replicate, but that's not that big of a deal.
Soooo why do we have both of them? Which one of them and when should I use?

What am I missing?
