And there should be like a #UpdateService protocol so that any IoT device can, again local-only/zeroconf, register where their updates can be found, and the #UpdateServer than goes see what’s available — maybe shows it to the owner and when the owner approves — offers it to the device the next time it checks… the IoT device doesn’t need to do a DHCP EVER bc it doesn't have to go outside the local network 😄
