Heute mein altes Stevens Aspin dem gemeinnützigen Verein Westwind Hamburg gespendet. Bedürftigen werden dort alte Räder schnell, unbürokratisch und kostengünstig zur Verfügung gestellt. Das gute Teil hat beim Ötztaler Radmarathon oder bei Anstiegen in Nordamerika treue Dienste geleistet und wird so auf seine alten Tage noch einem guten Zweck zugeführt.

Both German popular bike manufacturers #canyon and #rose obviously struggeling with significant delivery problems with their #gravel bikes. Have been waiting for three months now for any information on the availability of the Canyon "Grizl". Rose specifies a availability for its "Backroad" in 32 (!) weeks. Very annoying for interested customers.

Recommendation for the start of the #roadcycling season on #Mallorca : The island's most spectacular ramp leads from Sa Colabra up to Coll del Reis with its famous 270 degree "tie knot". Only for weeks ago the road was still closed due to heavy snowfall.

My personal highlight in 2022 was the climb by road bike to #Dalsnibba mountain in #Norway. Fantastic conditions end of June with blue skies and no wind. 1,400 metres of altitude gain from sea Level at #Geirangerfjord to unexpected metre-high snow above tree-line. Finally, a majestic view down to #Geiranger. Dalsnibba is situated close to far more popular #Trollstigen ascent.
