This old footstool has been around the place for as long as I can remember. Right now I could actually use a footstool, but the velvet cover is getting very worn and some of the white (ceramic or enamel headed?) nails are gone. So Iām on the lookout for a leather piece about 60x60 cm, and an upholsterer who would re-cover it. Though a cloth cover would be fine, and plain brass nails.

Our first go at doing some basic upholstery. Dining room chairs have had all new foam and the old acrylic fabric replaced with a lovely Harris tweed. Now much more comfy! Tweed from Carloway Mill, supplied locally by the Wool and Needlecraft Centre of Oban, foam from Advanced Upholstery Services.

But for upholstery, perhaps I don't need to? My armchair will not go in the washing machine. #sewing #upholstery
