What the...? Hab ne ext. HDD per USB an ne aktuelle #Fritzbox gehangen um via #upnp nen #DLNA Server (Fritz Mediaserver) zu haben der den Eltern den Zugriff auf ihre alten Fotos/Video am TV ermöglichen soll. Tja indizieren tut die Fritze die HDD, sqlite db wird drauf geschrieben. Aber VLC app aufm Chromecast zeigt nichts davon an. Internet weiß auch nichts. 🙁

#Rygel o bien es un mojón o a mi no me va. Es el software que usa #Gnome para compartir multimedia en la red local por medio de #UPnP. Yo no sé que pasa, que no aparecen los vídeos. ¿A vosotros os funciona como debería?

The number one reason a #gamer #homeuser might want #ipv6 is the fact that #upnp should't be necessary anymore. EVERY console/pc/etc can use the same inbound port. It would be SO MUCH SIMPLER.

I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to set up a #upnp server on my #raspi.
So much easier than #osmc which usually works for me, but not my cli-averse family.

Was someone able to connect #kodi via #upnp / #dlna to a #jellyfin server?
I'm able to play media with vlc but Kodi is just unable to find anything.

#Frage, kann jemand eine App empfehlen, die als #UPNP Client agiert, d.h. Audiodateien abspielen die vom Linux-PC (UPnP Server Gerbera) via Streaming im Netzwerk zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

Ich will damit erreichen das ich am Smartphone die Musiksammlung via #Streaming abspielen kann.

Bis jetzt habe ich nur aus dem Google Playstore die App #BubbleUPnP gefunden die meinen UPnP Server (Gerbera) erkennt und abspielen kann. Ich würde aber gerne BubbleUPNP durch eine aus #F-Droid ersetzen.

their intended use is almost totally certainly streaming media, but it should work for running SSDP, with it's M-SEARCH "who has this kind of service" and NOTIFY "i have this kind of service" multicast http verbs.
