The latest version of Uptime-Kuma doesn't work on FreeBSD. The issue seems to be related to Playwright, which throws an error stating that FreeBSD is not supported. I'll try reaching out to the Uptime-Kuma developer. Meanwhile, I've discovered that Playwright is a Microsoft project and is claimed to be compatible with Windows, Linux, and MacOS, so I believe it could work on FreeBSD too. However, the thought of contacting Microsoft makes me feel like it might be a waste of time.

@mialikescoffee @alex #uptimekuma is the right up there with the most crucial pieces of software in my home network! I use it in conjunction with a #selfhosted #ntfy (https://ntfy.sh) server to notify me whenever anything goes down.

Excelsior! Finally found the culprit in this long running issue I've had with #UptimeKuma getting inexplicably blocked by just one of my VPSs... along with all other HTTPS requests from the server running Uptime Kuma... Here're the details in case it helps anybody else! https://github.com/louislam/uptime-kuma/issues/3383#issuecomment-1685515870 (turns out it was #Mailcow Dockerized's Fail2Ban implementation, which I wouldn't have thought could affect the server as a whole, but apparently I'd be mistaken). Phew, that was a long standing issue.

@jibsaramnim I love #UptimeKuma but have yet to set up monitoring for Docker containers. They also have a variety of notification integrations (I'm using #ntfy) to send alerts whatever you need them. It's a really versatile app.

I'm not sure how I missed this, but #UptimeKuma actually supports checking if #Docker #Containers are up. This is really cool, and lets me set up some additional checks for some of the services I am running, including those that don't have a web frontend or so for example. Neat!

I've been running #UptimeKuma in #PikaPods for 4 months now. It's a super cheap way to host your monitors off of your own hardware. I also have it hit #HealthChecksIO to make sure the pod doesn't go down. It hasn’t. 👍👍

Which #monitoring solutions do people use for their #homelab?
Currently just using #uptimekuma and #healtchecks.io (locally deployed) to monitor the services/scripts, but want something that actually does monitor the actual vms/boxes. If it has some dashboards builtin, that's a pro. I've been fiddling with prometheus/grafana, but I am not a super fan of creating dashboards for myself.

Preferrably not to heavyweight.
