This chick here is my favourite hen, Ginger. A solid layer, beautiful grey and red feathers, friendly and intelligent. In the morning she watches me through the windows and asks for a stroll round the garden. A complete package. I think she'd be a great sitter too!

Oof, today was my chance to Feed the Roses. Crawling about the planting beds, between roses, lavender and Salvia. All the while, a Cooper's Hawk peered at me (and I think at my neighbor's chickens and ducks). While grubbing about, also did a bit of weeding: so much #Oxalis. If my neighbor's pet pig Chico were still around, she would have loved the oxalis. The chickens and ducks stepped up and said, "we LOVE greens!"
