The other #blackwork #embroidery project I managed to start last night is the #UrbanStitches Until Death Do Us Part SAL. The patterns started being released in early December, but as I was both sick and waiting for my materials and doing other holiday projects, I decided it could wait until my table was clearer.

It is a 10 week project and half the pieces have come out already. I hope to have the frame complete by next week. I am enjoying this detail work!

I have good and bad news.

The good news is that the "parchment" for my #UrbanStitches Until Death Do Us Part SAL looks perfect and I will start on it (and try to catch up) over the next week or two.

The bad news: my #TheSteadyThreadSAL fabric feels wrong. I was hoping for a grey, maybe blue-ish grey and, instead, it looks green to me. M says it is a blue green grey, but all I see when I look at it is how GREEN it is. I am ordering a bunch of grey fabrics to replace it.

And just as some journeys end, others begin.

I have checked the tracking and the fabric for my #blaalckwork #embroidery botanical #TheSteadyThreadSAL 2023 is arriving today. That also features hexagons!

Also arriving is fabric for the current #UrbanStitches' Until Death Do Us Part SAL, which I am woefully behind on, as I haven't started on it. 😅 Fingers crossed that I like what I ordered and can begin: it is hand-dyed so I may not like it.
