35 degrees today in Athens, and the first time I’ve felt unpleasantly hot. The difference crossing the National Gardens made was huge. #UrbanTrees

The stick tree we planted last year when we bought our home made it through the winter and is growing nicely.
If we stick to the plan of never moving ever again, the grandkids can have a tree swing eventually.

Ook #Oisterwijk heeft een #vrijheidsboom, een #zomereik, geplant n.a.v. de Bataafse revolutie van 1795, die weer volgde op de Franse. Alle andere vrijheidsbomen geplant in die tijd, zijn intussen verdwenen. Hier mijn tekening van die boom. Ik moest het helaas met foto’s doen. De #boom is wel toegetakeld, wrsch om passanten te beschermen, maar wel zielig. Een Hollands tafereel.
