I’ve taken quite a liking to this power strip that’s /also/ a 3C+1A port USB charging brick: https://uk.ugreen.com/collections/power-strip/products/60168. I /think/ it’s relatively unique.

But at 85GBP, it /just/ steps outside “meh, why not?” territory and into “that’s actual money I’d be spending…”.

Anyone seen something equivalent/similar-ish for less?

Every portable device (and many non-portable ones) under 240w should be powered by or have the option to be powered by USB-PD.

I can now use USB-PD to power my ThinkPads (even the round and square tip ones) my MacBooks (MagSafe 1 and 2), & ALL of my portable devices.

There’s no reason it can’t power most of the devices in my home without the dangers and hassles associated with an AC outlet and the inconvenience of power cords & bricks.

We need dedicated USB-PD ONLY wall receptacles.

#USBC #USBPD folks, I've got a device (battery) here that I didn't think was doing anything with PD but causes all of my meters (Ruideng, Uni-T, Satechi) to reset repeatedly unless I provide auxiliary power. This only happens when charging, not discharging.

Any #hardwarehackers got any hints for me?
