My local #NPR station is running promos bragging how we can count on NPR to tell us the truth. Yet, NPR still can't bring itself to be honest with listeners about the #USDebtLimit, treating it as a both-sides story, when in fact only one party, the Republican Party, is holding the nation's creditworthiness hostage and threatening to kill it if Democrats don't succumb to their demands.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with #NPR for repeatedly framing the #usdebtlimit question as a problem for Biden to solve by compromising with Speaker McCarthy, the individual who is threatening to force the US into default. Not once have I heard NPR suggest that McCarthy should simply do the right thing and introduce a clean bill.

I just heard a clip of Kevin McCarthy on Sean Hannity talking about the US reaching its debt limit. He compared it to a credit card saying you don't just keep running up the debt if you can't pay for it. this is almost exactly what I said in 2017 when the Republicans lowered taxes, increased spending and took credit for how well the economy was. At the time I compared that to my family's budget. If I spent more money and just kept running up the debt on my credit card, my family would also think things are pretty good. I heard someone say the deficit is only a problem when there's a Democrat in the White House. I hate hypocrisy. #Republicans #USPolitics #USDebtLimit
