1. Use #, they're much more important here. #UseCapitals - there are lots of blind and partially sighted users who have screen readers. Ditto Alt-text on images.
2. Boost stuff you like to share it more widely.
3. Join conversations, post, follow people who post interesting stuff that you like.
4. CWs are important. If in doubt, use one.
5. Most important - be friendly, helpful, considerate. Don't just RT stuff from birdsite.
