I don't think I can go a full year without seeing at least a glimpse of the X11 "herring bone" background. It was last spotted when I tried UserLAnd on Android. I can't remember what distro I tried, but it installed, booted, and then promptly crashed when I tried to run something. I didn't see a reason to further frustrate myself, but it was nice to see an old friend.

So for any #CCSS that isn't locked to a specific #LTS #Distro and -Version if not Hardware (i.e. #Linux Version of #Autodesk #Maya required proof of eligible System [i.e. HP z-Series] & Supported OS [Subscription] [i.e. #RedHat #RHEL Workstation 5.0]) before you can even purchase any #License the most stable #APIs are those supported by #Proton (#Wine + #DXVK)...

AND i wished this wasn't the case and we'd not have to rely on #Win32 / #Win64 #Userland to get shit done.

Not #drivers or anything low-lebel but just something as trivial as #Games.

There are a shitton of #native #Linux gamed that get bricked due to minor versions of #glibc bricking shit on a whim because they don't give any f**ks!

Just admit that you want an #IDE + #Userland in one big application and accept that as your choice...

Took a brief break from #pipeworld to take a look at it's inspiration #userland.

The prototype is crashy as one would expect but I really like how fluid it feels when it is working.

A lot of the shell functionality just crashes the environment. I'll try a few tweaks to see if I can't get the demo materials to run.

Anyone using #UserLAnd for #Android out there? When I'm using it on my phone, I'm able to preview my builds, but I can't seem to do that on my Chromebook due to some sort of firewall issue. Any solution to this?

For what it's worth:
- I'm running Ubuntu, but only via Terminal.
- I'm able to view my previews on a 2020 Motorola G8 Power and a TeraCube 2e (NOT de-Googlefied), and the Chromebook I'm using is the OG 2020 Lenovo Chromebook Duet.

Indeed now me even comsider #LineageOS + Fdroid + UserLAnd as my daily driver, other than pmOS / mobian with pp or limit phones. Just a thought ;-)
