Apparently a lot of large tech companies have started refusing to submit new PERM applications for their employees. A PERM application is one of the first steps in applying for a green card. This is apparently caused by an increase in audits of such applications due to all the tech layoffs.

I'm a little surprised but mostly disappointed I haven't seen any reporting on this.
