I suspect the club would move from Interbay to Starfire, which would completely cut them off from the community -- I never attended a #ReignFC game while they were there, for instance.

For me, #USL1 <-> #USLC makes a lot of sense, as does #USLW <-> #USLS, but looking at the reality of how hard it will be for #BallardFC just to appear in the #OpenCup, I can't imagine what promotion from semi-pro to fully pro is supposed to even look like.

Absolutely. When I lived in Victoria, I had the Highlanders (#USL2). When I was in Ottawa before that, there was the Fury (#NASL / #USLC), and that's when I discovered my love for the game.

The last six years, without anything within driving distance, has been downright painful.

I'm definitely looking forward to the 2024 launch (fingers crossed).

Question for the greater soccerverse, what's the point of signing more players than the registration minimum? It's a minimum and it would just cost clubs more money to sign more than the minimum. So why even do it? #USLC
