And Thanksgiving day, 2013, a handful of us were at Kitt Peak observatory trying to image the comet from the ground while our #USNRL LASCO cameras on #ESA / #NASA SOHO captured ISON's spectacular perihelion passage in detail. Absolutely one of my fave LASCO image sequences ever!
