🎪 Aug 19 - staffing a booth at Inspiring Tasmania's #FestivalOfBrightIdeas / #FoBI down at Salamanca
🎓 Aug 22 - talking futures and opportunities as the occasional address at the afternoon session of Winter Graduations for #UTAS's College of Sciences and Engineering

(Then I take a week off to catch up on normal work + sleep, and do 2 days of #SciComm training with #SuperstarsOfSTEM)

🏫 Sep 1 - back at it, as a keynote for the 'It Takes a Spark!' #STEM #Education conference, alongside the fantastic Dr Lila Landowski!

(Then maybe I get a break from speaking for a bit, at least until the Australian Space Research Conference comes to town a few weeks later 😬)

Exciting times here. Have been accepted as a student by UTAS. Starting a return to study course in Feb. Then an Undergrad Cert in Data And Environmental Management in July. Just one hiccup I selected Hobart on campus instead of online. Goi g to have to call tomorrow. #utas #datascience #infographics

#Python session was baffling, frustrating and eventful. We won in the end. But to get there, we had to bash our heads against the wall. So much fun 😝 I love group #coding! Going to make it a regular thing for #PhD students at #UTAS.

Hi, I am Tobias Stål, nice to meet you!

I am a #geophysicist at the Australian Centre of Excellence in Antarctic Science #ACEAS based at the University of Tasmania #UTAS (math and physics). Presently, I am working on seismology and geothermal heat, but my background is in #geology, particularly #sedimentology and #carbonates.

I like music, old boats, well-written code (usually not by me) and to drink beer and coffee. I am learning linguistics.

#introduction Hello. I’m a lecturer at #utas teaching and researching in fine art and its critical practices #arthistory currently working in extinction politics in art #extinction and the #historiography of late 20C art, and in particular #reenactment and #reexhibitons.

Formerly of Uni Melb, The OU [UK] and graduate of Uni Leeds [UK].

I’m also a passionate (& tired) #fostering advocate and hopeful that #academia takes #Class seriously and encourages #workingclass academics.
