Shocking to me that UW Medicine has dropped its masking policy. Not only does this make me lose faith in higher institutions invested in the advancement of science, but it also makes me lose respect for them.

In current bad news, University of Washington Medical facilities have done away w/their masking policy. They were the last medical facility holding out for masking in #WA state. #PeerPressure seems to be the most powerful force on Earth, more powerful than logic, reasoning…and science. I know medicine isn’t science but without science it isn’t medicine, either. Should we trust practitioners who put us at risk while we breathe? #UWMedical #COVIDIsNotOver #MaskUp

Yesterday, I met my orthopedic surgeon @ #UWMedical, #Seattle. I told him I use edible #cannabinoids for pain management. He was 100% supportive of them AND my compounded #HRT for pain. “Yes!” he said to HRT’s pain relieving powers for arthritis. “They work!”. After telling him my physical therapist’s office no longer requires masks he sent me to a UW PT facility where masking is required. Note: masking is required in all UW Medical facilities. #Arthritis #PainManagement #MaskUp #CovidIsNotOver
