⚡ L'ottimizzazione di richiede la conoscenza dello stack tecnologico e la padronanza del frontend.
🤔 Prevedo molti compromessi e valutazioni di costi/benefici, in cui la sarà l'ultimo aspetto considerato.

I subscribe to this newsletter about small UX tweaks that the author has seen in the real world and this one is great. Column, a bank infrastructure API, gives you an estimated 'time to hack' for a too short password. It will also spring up more help if needed.

This is excellent UX when you're making a user intuitively understand why they need a better password. I wish we'd see this more.

"We've always had a tension between enterprise design practices and a 'small pieces, loosely joined' way of making software... The advantages to the latter are in part described in Worse is Better and The Cathedral and the Bazaar. Situated software is in the small pieces category, with the following additional characteristic -- it is designed for use by a specific social group, rather than for a generic set of 'users'."

“When customers buy a physical product, they can inspect it for build quality, flaws, or damage. It is much harder to do that with services, especially ones that are essentially a contract based on the chance of a future event, such as insurance.”

Love this on/off css/html input. Must fiddle with and use in future, after probably annoying my designer. codepen.io/jkantner/pen/gOZrOQ

Tldr: fancy html checkbox and css that I like

Good evening mastofolks. Today, I performed my first test on a mobile app that's currently available as a stable release.
I tested my first website in 2018, but up until now, I have only tested beta-stage websites and apps. So today was a major breakthrough.
Currently, I test sites and apps on Windows and Android only. I mainly focus on (user experience) testing, to ensure that websites and apps are ACE!
A: Accessible for users.
C: Clear and transparent.
E: Easy to navigate.
So, if anybody wants their website, or app, testing, please feel free to send me a direct message.

This is a mastodon question, why does generated link at the bottom strip out the location anchor? It makes it harder to direct people to the EXACT thing that I'm linking too, especially in a post like this that has many different articles.

It's incredibly annoying how frequently "local" and "remote" end up backwards when using and to resolve conflicts. Seems to happen both with rebase and popping a stash.

I don't care if there's a logical reason for it - it's bad , period!

The best UX outcomes will come from a deep understanding of the users’ current experiences. That deep understanding comes from a mature research practice.

It seems clear the iPad was a consumption device, not a creation device, from the beginning.

What about the Vision Pro? Will Apple make the same mistake again, and instead of replacing the Mac, just add another value extraction device to their lineup?
