Vakkerstøylen was probably the most Norwegian hut I could have in mind. We stayed there in September. The hike up there from the west was long and hard and we arrived only at 11pm. The hut has a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Situated at a lake it is perfect to have fresh fish on the table. As almost in all Norwegian huts, you have to cook yourself, but there is a storage room with canned food, crackers, etc.
