We had to order a new vacuum robot because the baby finally murdered the old one, after several repairs. I write ”must”, because we use two strollers interchangeably outdoors and indoors and they track mud, grass and sand everywhere and we can’t realistically vacuum enough times a day to make that bearable.

Struck by how nice the crowd around #Valetudo is. If anyone in Sweden wants to borrow a debug adapter to de-cloud their vacuum robot after I’m done with mine, hit me up!

Sam proces faktycznie wygląda jak na stronie, wymaga tylko kilku kroków „przygotowawczych”.

Damn I got my #valetudo vacuum trapped in a misconfigured state, without proper wifi setup. Changing my access point’s SSID was enough 😬
But flashing should work as last resort fix…

I am still waiting for the first commercial #vacuum #robot without any #cloud dependencies. A fully local controlled robot. Without the need to install #valetudo.

Hey @homeassistant users with a #Valetudo vacuum cleaner and an #Android phone. I added the Valetudo map card to my #HomeAssistant dashboard and it renders just fine when accessed via the web client. It gives me a rendering error when I access it via the Home Assistant companion app on my Android phone and I get no map.

Did anyone face the same problem?

I would link to a GitHub issue that I opened a while ago, but the issue vanished from the card repository.

Der Staubsauger hat jetzt #valetudo und funktioniert damit auch ganz gut, #homeassistant jedoch bekommt nur Daten mit Informationsgehalt über MQTT. Steuern oder die Karte auslesen kann ich bisher nicht, trotz Installation verschiedener Scripte und Erweiterungen. Ich glaube, ich muss mich da heute Abend mal dran setzen.

Thanks to @danderson for setting me down this path; noting for my future reference work by Dennis Giese to catalog the hardware, and Sören Beye for the #Valetudo open source software.

I am frankly astonished that a quad-core 1GB system with advanced vision processing is relegated to the task of finding and eradicating dust bunnies, but welcome to the future.

Gibt's hier Erfahrungen mit #valetudo? Wir haben einen Xiaomi (Roborock) S55 und einen Roborock S6 MaxV, die beiden benötigen zwei unterschiedliche Apps und es stört mich, dass die natürlich gerne mit China reden.

Ist Valetudo da ähnlich gut? Kann damit auch die "AI"-Hinderniserkennung per Kamera am S6 genutzt werden?

After successfully installing valetudo on my roborock s7, I added it into HomeAssistant via mqtt and made 2 custom notifications through HomeAssistant if the vacuum cleaner is done or stuck. So now I have pretty much the same functionality than before but without using the Xiaomi cloud. Awesome!! #valetudo #roborocks7 #HomeAssistant #mqtt #smartvacuum
