#Vallejo CA is 10 miles south of #Napa, on the northeastern corner of the San Pablo Bay. Went bankrupt when the Navy pulled out of its base on Mare Island next door. It's...ummm..a little dodgy.

But some really pretty neighborhoods, ferry service to the city, Napa adjacent. And cheap by #BayArea standards.

Me on the phone, laptop at the ready, Zillow and Craigslist. Craig in the car on the ground, zigzagging from one house to the next!

Our Florida house (more than 2 cats in the yard!), luckily, was represented for us by Frank Martini, now an FtL realtor, but also my longtime friend back to the AOL days in the 90s. Frank gets a one-year rental contract on our house IN ONE DAY!

Everything has to be out in six weeks. I start packing.
