I wish we could have something like a decentralized network of artists posting #ccmusic into a feed (or pool) that people tag as LIKED and DJs can play and talk about. Maybe limit artists to adding only one song per week. Rebooting radio with humans not algos deciding what gets popular and becomes part of the zeitgeist. I hope @funkwhale can eventually replace #Bandcamp, and incorporate #value4value.

Hey @StevenB et al - I seem to remember hearing something about a way to make a playlist of remote items… is there a way to do that yet where each remote item’s value block is honored? My goal is to make a playlist of #value4value music I can listen to in a podcast app and stream sats as I listen w/o hosting anything but a rss file.

yes, I wish I had all that. who else is saying this? @adam calls it #value4value but you probably block his instance and he thinks crypto is a part of it. I think the soon to rollout #FedNow is more likely. #ActivityPub is an attention layer for the net. pretty obvious we'll get a payment layer eventually.

I'm sorry for your friend but rejecting medical expertise killed Steve Jobs. the best we can do imo is try to remove the many corrupting influences on media, experts and government etc. pushing #value4value is one example of trying to do this.

we agree about the illiberalism rising in the culture, especially college campuses. but it's not the inquisition yet. every ideology/religion taken to the extreme becomes that. that's why I'm out here arguing that we all put #LiberalValues above our beliefs, partisan/political leanings, identities etc. we take for granted what the Enlightenment has given us, but it can be lost. it can also be expanded upon. I think the #fediverse and #value4value is part of that.
