It's the 111th anniversary of A. E. van Vogt's birth. He's a #SciFi #Writer that I've read a lot over the years, with repeated re-reads of Voyage of the Space Beagle.

Not perfect, by any means, I've nevertheless always found reading van Vogt's stuff hugely entertaining. And what he did write was influential in its time and since, often without folk even realizing.

On top of that, I'm always #Recycling when I read #VanVogt. I'm a sucker for dog-eared scifi.

If I won the lottery and become a quadrillionaire, I will not speak up my mind in front of millions of people, I will invest in movies and franchises from books that do exist and yet never were translated to cinema because it is too risky for investors, like Van Vogt books. There are so many good adventures to be told to a larger audience. I am sure they weren't ready in the 1950's but now they are!
