Here in #Vancouver #BritishColumbia #Canada the #McDonalds #QSR in the 1400 block of West Broadway has quietly raised all its food prices by $0.10. Used to be that McD's staff had to spend an hour or two manually changing menu board prices with transfer lettering. Digital menu boards now make the process trivial. I assume the 10-cent price increase also applies to all of this francisee/owner's stores, which include another four on #VanBC's West Side and one downtown.

Sitting in McD's in 1400 block W Broadway, #Vancouver. Anthony, one of my #homeless peers, rolls by with his shopping cart & stops. Comes in & declares: "I'd join you but I got banned!" He begins to add: "It was because of that big Filipino manager..." at which point I cut him short with a "none of that shit please Anthony!" I have zero tolerance for #racism in general and #racist scapegoating in particular, which is too common among Caucasians experiencing #homelessness here in #VanBC!

In the McD's in 1400 block W Broadway, here in #VanBC. One of my #homeless peers just went to the counter and complained that there was mold on their muffin. A staffer *patiently* explained that it was NOT mold it was a blueberry. They accepted this wordlessly but looked unconvinced. #Vancouver

Keep trying to entice some of my vocally disaffected friends over on the tweety bird site to join this nice Mastodon #Canada instance. So far many of them are complaining but none are budging. SO lonely here [sniff]. Need that special vibe that #Vancouver residents bring -- and I don't just mean complaining. Peaple from #VanBC do way more than JUST complain! Lots more. Sorry. I can't come up with any examples off the top of my head.
