Red squirrel, Tamiasciurus hudsonicus, eating seeds on a conifer cone.

I heard the squirrel munching before I actually saw it. As a wildlife photographer, I always walk quietly and slowly in the forest, I listen to every sound, I look up, down, left and right, I smell the air, I look for tracks and droppings. That's why nobody comes with me because I am too ''slow'' 😁​

Bear looking for salmon at low tide, on the traditional Kwagu'ł First Nation territory. It was so foggy that it was hard to distintiguish the bears from the boulders, until they started to move.

I like how each seal's fur has different patterns and colours. They are very curious too. Sometimes, when we walk on the shore, we can see their head pocking out of the water and checking us out.

Young Vancouver Island marmots play-fighting in their natural habitat.

This is the only endemic species in British Columbia. This species is listed as endangered. There are less than 300 Vancouver Island marmot living in the mountains on Vancouver Island.
