Die #Telekom bietet jetzt auch #VDSL Tarife ohne Laufzeit an. Beim 100/40 Tarif für 13€ aka über 37% mehr im Monat als #O2. Und bei der Telefonie ist nicht mal eine Mobilfunk-Flat dabei. #lol

Seit heute sind wir zu Hause nur noch mit #VDSL 100/40 unterwegs. Hab den XL-Vertrag in L bei der #Telekom geändert. Sind zumindest wieder knapp 10 EUR die man im Monat spart und wirklich ausgenutzt haben wir das VDSL 250 eigentlich noch nie.

55 Minuten ohne #Strom in #Südhessen #RheinMain. Da merkt was alles passiert:
- #Strom weg
- rums #VDSL weg
- 10 Minuten später, alle #Mobilfunknetze weg
- DAB+ Batterie-Radio spielt Musik ?
- Sirenen heulen zur Alamierung (da keine Pager und Handy-Apps) gehen

Ja so ist die moderne Kommunikations-Welt, aber wenigsten mit den Nachbarn mal wieder geschwätzt.

Das einzige was mich wundert, wieso fällt der Strom genau um 10:30:00 Uhr aus, aber wird wohl #Zufall gewesen sein.

Papa ist bei 60% -- das Kind geht konsterniert pennen. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not really understanding how but #BT #Openreach based #FTTP service seems to be less reliable than my #VDSL service. My PPP drops for ~4 seconds regularly. 2pm today, 3am today, 3am yesterday, then once on 27th may, 23rd may, 18th may and beyond. Almost like the network I'm on isn't yet production ready!

Welp, my #router's #LAN ports seem to have packed in. They're all reporting "A-OK over here, nothing to see", but try connecting anything to them and suddenly they're all "None shall pass!"

I've checked that it's only, and all, the LAN ports.

Luckily I already had a new router which I'd been commissioning leisurely like with a view to moving to #VDSL. This adds a little urgency to that effort.

Die Anzahl der #Ausfälle hier in der Gegend im #Kabelnetz von Vodafone und im #Glasfasernetz von Deutsche Giganetz bzw. Deutsche Glasfaser ist erschreckend hoch. Falls es mal hier Glasfaser geben sollte, werde ich meinen Telekom #VDSL auf jeden Fall als Backup behalten.

Pro: die Telekom hat mittlerweile auch den Gigabit Tarif für VDSL freigeschaltet.

Contra: das Glas liegt nur bis zum Keller, inne Bude gibts weiterhin nur 60er Jahre Klingeldraht

@dekkzz76 Not to my knowledge. They rarely even have anything like regional rail anymore. We went full #CarDependency (you don't do that if you're sane).

They often have #ADSL & #VDSL or just absolutely nothing other than overpriced satellite internet in distant rural localities.

I can tell you for certain I can't get a #Fibre #NBN upgrade, believe me I'd know I've been complaining about terrible National Broadband Network speeds for years. I've complained to AussieBraodband, Telstra, Spintel, NBNco, the council etc, even had a Telstra contractor come out and he tested the micro node and said the whole thing was shot and needed to be replace, of course that never happened.

Nach einem guten Monat #FritzOS 7.50 für die #AVM #Fritzbox #7590 muss ich sagen: Wireguard ist zwar nett, aber eine stabile #VDSL-Verbindung wäre noch schöner. Alle paar Tage Resync (blöd im Home Office), egal mit welcher DSL-Treiberversion. Mit FritzOS 7.29 war die Leitung monatelang stabil.
Lt. Forenberichten bin ich mit dem Problem nicht der Einzige...

More #FritzBox #multicast . #AVM replied to my support request, asking me kindly to try a factory reset to rule out any issue with the configuration import from the old box.

To my surprise, that helped. To my bigger surprise, it only helped until the moment I set up the #Telekom #VDSL . Once that is connected, new multicast traffic won't work and after a box reboot, no local multicast (except for 224.0.0.0/24 and 239.255.255.250) works.

I hope they won't just dismiss this obscure thing 😬.

Bei den großen deutschen Providern hat der Datenhunger 2022 über Festnetz-Internet erneut zugelegt. Am Abend ist der Bedarf wegen Streaming am höchsten.

What is going on with #NewZealand #Broadband. When I first had #VDSL my max capacity download to upload speed was 109/50 now it’s 75/30. If I want to renew it, I’m being given figures of 30/10 and that’s comparable to the #4G or 5G wireless services currently being given the hard sell. Why are we being speed capped? It’s not even #RBI
