With my #tomato haul and some travel coming up I needed to make some sauce and freeze it stat. I used the Marcella Shazam sauce recipe from @nytcooking. I used my fresh #tomatoes instead of canned, and of course vegan butter. I’ve always made tomato sauce with olive oil, and true to the description butter adds a real richness. Super quick, easy, and tasty crispy gnocchi and tomato dish via @nytcooking. I love shelf-stable gnocchi and had never pan fried them (in a cast iron skillet) vs. boiling them. I added corn because corn makes everything better. And because I didn’t have onion I used garlic and poblano instead…something I do pretty frequently.
