My forest of tomato seedlings. They are big enough to be planted out but cannot go outside yet because of the risk of late frosts. Made a note to sow them later next year.

My pot-dwelling lovage (Levisticum officinale) is already coming up beautifully again. Will be able to harvest it soon.
In Austria it is called Liebstöckel. I find both names utterly delightful.

Potting on has come up recently in conversation. I tend to pot on seedlings as early as I can, sometimes ones that only have the original leaves. This is because they can already have good roots that want space to grow.

Dark, grey, rain, windy and cold yesterday. Took shelter in the greenhouse and did some more potting on of vegetables and perennials. Heated potting shed would be the height of luxury for me :)

A while ago I made these two raised beds. Makes gardening so much easier! 180cm x 90cm fence palings and some other bits and pieces out of the shed. Summer crop of tomatoes, beetroot, basil, beans, lettuces.
Women can do almost anything🌱

I need to do something about my greenhouse. It's old and the windows are the most brittle, nasty glass. When they break, which they do regularly, they shatter into really sharp shards.

Problem is that replacing the glass with polycarbonate is more money than I'm prepared to invest into my allotment.
