I am a decent cook, picked up a few skills from my mum and nan and the handful of home economics classes I had in New Zealand, and refined my skills since moving out of my parents' 11 years ago. Noticed I was cooking the same dishes over and over again so I decided to challenge myself a little and try the Sorted Food recipe app.
Four months in, it's a resounding success. I discovered new vegetables (most of which I'd previously been exposed to in the bland and unimaginative form Austrian cuisine does vegetables- think either fried, baked or blanched), found some great recipes and am rediscovering the joy of cooking.
Really happy with this.
Also: Austrian cuisine is boring af.
Lovely UK vegans/veggies and plant-based cooks, a question 🌱
Can you recommend good brand subs for fish? I have some chuna in brine from Sainsbury's and would like to try more subs for white and oily fish too.
I don't do breaded. Totally open to soy, seitan and other subs but no myco or Quorn, my dietician said don't touch it!
Any tips most welcome! 🙏
