Learned a *lot* while updating and revising two of my #SelfPublished #Tarot books for their 10th anniversary versions! #Vellum made it much easier to create beautiful #ebook and paperback editions. Everything's on #Kindle Unlimited now, paperbacks have been repriced to cost less, and I've got smarter keywords in the search system. And I’m 😍 over the new covers for the series. Have a peek!

Dusting off my old #SelfPublished books on #Tarot on Amazon.com, preparing expanded and updated second editions with new and better covers, re-writing portions of those books for their 10th anniversary editions, making them part of a series, planning new books in the series, and learning how to use #Vellum at the same time.

Oh — and the internal graphics all needed to be recreated from scratch to have higher resolution.

And, yes, I’m actually enjoying this.

@apolaine For me, there’s very little that’s difficult about self-publishing. #Ulysses outputs to #Vellum, which outputs to Amazon (and other services). I’m lucky to have some graphic design background, so covers haven’t been a hurdle for me. (Though laziness can be.) Good editors can be hired.

The difficulty for me is in the marketing: doing smart things consistently to help people discover the work. (Though even with inconsistent marketing, my self-published non-fiction has done pretty well.)
