346 followers · 9828 posts · Server cybre.space#VelvetBuzzsaw is, IMO, a perfectly straightforward vengeful ghost story: Moraly dubious characters wrong the spirit of the dead and are punished for it.
It doesn't, really, innovate beyond that formula, but I think actually playing that as straight has maybe gone a bit out of style? Like, most similar horror movies either target innocent characters or at least suposedly innocent characters who are later revealed to be bad.
Here the victims are just ... dicks, mostly.
