Watched my partner play and finish #Venba in one sitting yesterday. It's on Game Pass, it's about a diaspora family, focusing on the mother and her life throughout the years as she makes food to bond with her husband and son. Very sweet, definitely recommend.

It's a short but captivating game featuring a Tamil woman who immigrated to Canada. The story offers a fresh setting, taking us through her life's milestones. Beyond dialogues, the core gameplay revolves around minor cooking puzzles accompanied by delightful music. It's a wonderful glimpse into another culture and way of life.

Available on most platforms and included in #XboxGamePass.

Completely charmed by the art in Venba https://venbagame.com/, especially the food and cooking bits. The rendering of hot oil splattering as one adds whole spices to it are *chef’s kiss*

Is the story too neatly tied with a bow? Yes. Are the puzzles wholly unpuzzling to someone who knows how to cook the recipes in the game? Also yes. Yet, playing Venba was joyful.

Visai Games did a very good job incorporating a racist assault in the story so sensitively.

Jugando al #Venba y llorando un poquito. Eso, y que ahora me apetece un montón comer alguna de las recetas que salen.

Finished **Venba (2023 Xbox)** and it a nice short and simple cooking puzzle game. I appreciate the immigrant story and its somber tones. I would have liked more content and maybe options for creativity though. At least, I am so thankful I have no major complaints or issues about a narrative game at last.

This is a recommend on a sale or subscription since it is a tad bit priced high.

Venba went up on Game Pass and I ended up running through the whole thing in one go. Recommended.

It's very short, but the storytelling is good. Story-wise the length is fine but I liked how the puzzle aspect was presented and it'd be cool to have more levels.
