I am loving the characters, the settings, the word choices and cadences of the sentences, the rich exploration of women’s relationships and ways of loving and supporting each other. It is so soothing to my heart to come into a world like this, full of witches, which could so easily end up grossly cisnormative, but to trust the author and to have that trust rewarded. #amreading #bookstodon

My son decided we should eat out last night. I don't want to cook, but eating out is not my fave. The compromise was that we'd get it to go and head to one of our beach parks. I'm still numb, but I think it might have been helpful? At least for an hour.

5) Bike rental kiosk. I wonder if it looks as bad on the inside as the park ranger booth did.
When we drive over to my son’s Dr appointment in East Ventura I saw that the roads and lots were open already.
And, of course, the sky is beautiful in this photo, too. :)

4) some of the mess and the clean up machines. I do not know what the crane is for, however. The roads and parking lots look like they will be ready by the weekend. The beach will take a lot longer. And if it rains again….

I will miss the view of the Channel Islands that this abode affords. :) And, believe it or not, we will have to adjust to having no freeway noise all day and night. My daughter will use an app that creates the noise so she can sleep better.
