Hi ,I joined venera ,I was looking for adivce ,I am not sure how to find people or interests I know it can link to Mastodon but not sure how? I am looking for a FB type site but I wanted to get away from FB ,I dont feel safe on it ,but social media is my only way to stay in touch with relatives and good friends I have known for years,decades sometimes and I lvie hundreds of miles from most of them (I cant give them any personal contact details long story)

Migration complete. And just like that my digital life has gotten a whole lot better.

I dropped into Facebook and Twitter for a hot minute tonight, and while I have to keep them for business purposes (and Fb to keep in touch with my personal diaspora) I won't be spending any more time there than absolutely necessary.

I'm good on Mastodon, just have to get a better handle on Friendica. But I'm getting there. A free man.
