I wonder if #dnd is like #Lego, pre-#StarWars? Lego IIRC was in trouble selling only basic kits. Lego was a toolkit for building your own adventures, but it was dying. Sound familiar? Lego exploded once they started selling characters and vehicles from Star Wars. D&D is now trying to create their own characters in the form of the movie. They should bring the cartoon kids back too. They are also leaning into #Venger and #Vecna, so they might be moving in this direction. #RPG #TTRPG
