A birthday gift I drew for a friend several months ago of his OC in our #Pokemon campaign became a great piece to revisit with some new knowledge of digital lighting. I didn't touch the, uh, questionable linework, because if I'm ever going to redo the whole thing, it might as well be from scratch. A WIP of a gym leader I'm making for my #pokemon #tabletop campaign. In my Saarland region (what? They named other regions after Japanese provinces and Aloha spelled wrong), trainers fight literally alongside pokemon in obstacle courses and war games to get badges for their League. Janine has seen some things. Some say she never actually left the battlefield that consumed her rebuilt town a decade ago. She brings all her #ghosts with her.

I like #birds because I, too, love a small amount of mayhem, shiny things, look like I have a single braincell while doing really well on tests, and eat garbage.

Fun fact: seagulls won't feed their chicks garbage. They give them the nutritional diet where available. Like many human parents, they take worse care of themselves, lol.

Also fact: pigeons don't deserve your hate. They are feral birds in America originally brought as pets that were then released. #art #veratiart #animalillustration
